Mixology 101

Step behind the bar and into the world of professional mixology! Your team will learn the basics of bartending, then solve exciting photo and video challenges using our iHunt® app in order to get the ingredients needed to create your own cocktails – but get ready to be put to the test. What team will win the prize for best cocktail? That’s up to the judges!

We’ve designed this activity to highlight the specific location of your event. A few examples include: Hurricane Cocktails and Sazerac Cocktails from New Orleans, 90-Miles-From-Cuba Mojitos and Key Lime Martinis from Florida, Cosmopolitans and Classic Old Fashioneds from New York City, or Seabreeze Cocktails and Cape Codders in New England.

The Team Experience:

  • After the participants are split into teams, the facilitator will get the energy going with a fun group icebreaker
  • Using our iHunt® technology, teams will solve trivia as well as photo and video challenges to earn points used to get the ingredients for the cocktails
  • Teams will then craft the cocktails as well as create a name, logo, and marketing presentation for their own “pub”
  • Using an ‘American Idol’-style judging panel, “pubs” present their work to the judges for taste testing and scoring
  • While scores are being tabulated, a networking session commences where people visit each other’s pubs and taste their signature drink
  • Winners are announced and awarded gold medals

The success of your event is our top priority. To ensure a positive outcome, program modifications may be made based on variables including group size, timeframe, space limitations, materials, etc.
