Bridge to the Future

Get ready for a hands-on team challenge like no other. Your mission: build a fully functional bridge using nothing but cardboard and duct tape, one strong enough to support your entire group walking across it. And if a golf cart is available on-site, your VIP and facilitator may even cap off the event with a ride from one end to the other.

To get there, teams must communicate clearly, stay focused, and work together under real time pressure. Every person has a role, and the bridge only comes together when everyone is pulling in the same direction.

Here’s how it works: participants are divided into teams, each responsible for building one section of the bridge. Half of each team focuses on construction, while the other half takes on design. The designers from every team come together to create a single, unified visual theme inspired by the company’s values, culture, and vision for the future, then return to their teams to bring it to life on their section.

The end result is a complete bridge that reflects not just strong teamwork, but a shared creative vision, a powerful reminder of what a group can accomplish when they build toward a common goal.

The Team Experience:

  • Kickoff begins with a lively and effective opening activity
  • The facilitator briefs the group on bridge dimensions, safety procedures, and team roles such as builders and designers
  • Half of each team focuses on construction, while the other half takes on design
  • Designers from every team collaborate to develop a single, unified visual theme
  • Periodically, team leaders regroup to check in on  building and design progress
  • Once building wraps, teams join their sections to assemble the full-length bridge, complete with themed designs
  • For a test of durability, each team stands on their section of the bridge for a group photo
  • If a golf cart is available on-site, the facilitator and your VIP hop in and drive across the bridge — a symbolic gesture of your organization moving toward the future
